Afghan war kills 269 British soldiers
AFGHANISTAN: The death of another British soldier by a dynamite blast
in Afghanistan raised the death toll to 269 since Afghanistan invasion
and occupation along with United States in October 7, 2001.
That soldier also joined the list of 112 occupying troops of the
Pentagon and the NATO killed in this country since early in 2010 that
exceeded the figure of 520 registered in 2009, so far the most deadly
month in over nine years of aggression.
Spokesmen of the International Security Assistance Force (ISAF)
confirmed the media that the British soldier died during a bomb
explosion when patrolling Sangin district in Helmand conflictive
southern province.
That casualty agreed with the unexpected arrival of British Prime
Minister Gordon Brown to Camp Bastion military complex the main military
operation base in Helmand Brown reviewed two other positions of the
troops in Nad Ali district, in the north side of Marjad city that in
agreement with ISAF command was taken away from Afghan rebels.
