Thurstan College retained the W. A. de Silva Trophy for the fourth successive year when they edged out their traditional rivals Isipatana College by two wickets in the 30th annual inter school limited over cricket encounter worked off at the P. Sara Stadium yesterday.

Thurstan College dismissed their opponents for a modest 151 runs from 48.4 overs and then reached their target in the 45th over with just two wickets to spare.

Man of the Match and Best Batsman Supun Navaratne led the run chase with a fighting knock of 59.

Earlier Sachith Dias who was named Best Bowler of the match snapped up four wickets for 22 to restrict Isipatana College to 151 runs from 48.4 overs with skipper Thivanka Ranasinghe hitting a top score of 40. Isipatana: 151 in 48.4 overs (D. Warapitiya 36, T. Ranasinghe 40, S. Dias 4 for 22).
