Northern libraries to be developed

The National Library and Documentation Services Board has launched a program to develop all libraries in the North destroyed due to LTTE terrorism.

According to the National Library and Documentation Services Board, the program aims to distribute books among 110 public libraries in the North. Distributing books worth Rs. Four million was initiated in Vavuniya.

A program will also be launched to train librarians.

This program will be launched under the Uthuru Vasanthaya program.
