Relics of St Anthony arrive


Here the Holy relics of St Anthony of Padua, Italy being taken in procession out of the airport.

The holy relics of St Anthony arrived in Sri Lanka yesterday from Padua, Italy. The relics which were flown aboard a Sri LankanAirlines flight will remain in the country for 16 days during which period it would be taken to many shrines across the country.

Among these will be the main St Anthony’s Shrine in Kochchikade and Churches in Chilaw, Trincomalee, Jaffna, Mannar etc. A special service was held on arrival of the relics officiated by Colombo Archbishop Rt Rev Dr Malcom Ranjith.
