K. Sivagananathan Memorial Trust Awards

The eighth annual awards ceremony of the K. Sivagananathan Memorial Trust and the "K. Sivagananathan Memorial Oration" jointly conducted by the K.S. Sivagananathan Memorial Trust and the Association of Professional Bankers of Sri Lanka will be held on Thursday, March 11 at the Bank of Ceylon Auditorium, 3rd Floor, Head Office, Bank of Ceylon Mawatha, Colombo 1, from 5.30 p.m.

Sixty students who have excelled in the Diploma in Banking and Finance examination in March and September 2009 conducted by the Institute of Bankers of Sri Lanka (IBSL), by obtaining the highest marks for each subjects in all three languages will be awarded cash prizes and certificates.

As a result of the banking examinations conducted by the Institute of Bankers of Sri Lanka which is affiliated to "IFS School of Finance", UK, formerly known as the Chartered Institute of Bankers London, open to the bankers and public, enthusiasm has been shown not only by bankers but by those who aspire for a career in banking and finance.

The number of high achievers in Diploma in Banking and Finance examination has doubled from 29 in 2008 to 60 in 2009.
