Otter AC open tennis from March 11

The Otter Aquatic Club will be holding its annual open ranking tennis tournament at the club premises from March 11 to 19, 2010. There are 13 events in total. All ranked players in Sri Lanka are expected to participate. The closing date for entries is March 5 at 5 p.m. at the club office. The draw will be on March 8 in the board room of the club. Matches will be played under floodlights as well. Play will commence at 2.30 p.m. on week days and 8 a.m. on weekends. The junior events are singles for boys and girls under 12, 14 and 18 years. Doubles for girls and boys under 14 years. All five open events will be held.

Men's Open Singles, Women's Open Singles, Men's Open Doubles, Women's Open Doubles, Mixed Open Doubles.

As this is the first ranking tournament for the year to be held in Colombo, over 250 entries are expected. The Otters tournament is considered to be one of the best ranking tournaments to be held.

Prize monies will be awarded to the winners and runners-up of the open events. Trophies will be awarded to the winners and runners-up of the junior events. All winners, runners-up and semi-finalists will receive certificates.
