England clinch one-day series

England beat Bangladesh by two wickets in the second one-day international on Tuesday to gain an unbeatable 2-0 lead in the three-match series. Mushfiqur Rahim and Imrul Kayes cracked half-centuries to help Bangladesh post a competitive 260-6 against England in the second one-day international on Tuesday.

Royal take major honours

Royal College, Colombo gained a first innings win over St. Sebastian’s College in their inter-school Under 19 cricket match played at De Soysa Stadium, Moratuwa yesterday. Batting first visitors piled up 294 runs for 8 declared with Sri Lanka Schools cricketer Banuka Rajapakse hitting a scincilating 132 runs including fourteen hits to the ropes and five over in 139 balls. He was associated in a 154 run partnership for the third wicket with Chanaka Bogoda who made 84 runs.
