Three fine half centuries by E. Silva (63), C. Jayasinghe (74) and
S.Jayathilake (74) guided St. Joseph College team to score 325 runs
against Ananda College in their under 19 cricket tournament match played
at St. Joseph College grounds, Darley Road yesterday.
In reply Ananda College were 36 for 1 wicket when play was stopped
early due to bad light.

Thomians shot out for 167
Two superb bowling performances by Nalandians - Rangana Kure (5 for
24) and Dinuk Jayasinghe (4 for 45) helped them to bundle out S. Thomas’
College, Mt. Lavinia for 167 runs in their first innings in the inter
school under-19 cricket match which began at Nalanda College ground
yesterday.
In reply Nalanda College were 151 for 6 wickets when play was stopped
early due to bad light.
