Police look for main suspect

Gampola police investigating the killing of Gampola Thambiligala Sri Bodhirukharama Viharadhipathi in a bomb explosion after the Presidential Election, which also killed another person, is looking for the main suspect.

The suspect, JVP member of the Ganga Ihala Korale Pradeshiya Sabha, is still evading arrest. According to information received by police, the main suspect is said to be in Colombo under the protection of the JVP hierarchy, said a spokesman for the Gampola police.
