Renuka Herath asked to go back to N'Eliya

UNP Organizer for Galagedara, Renuka Herath had been asked by the party leadership to go back to Nuwara Eliya district to accommodate SLMC leader Rauf Hakeem's candidature from the Kandy District at the forthcoming General Election, the party sources said. Renuka Herath who had organized the Galagedara electorate to contest the election from the Kandy District had protested to the party leadership but to no avail.

The UNP activists and grassroots level members were frustrated over the arbitrary decision to change the existing party set up in the Central Province and coercion used on her to leave the electorate she had nursed for a long time, they also said.
