Three Musketeers set for big-screen return

French heroes the Three Musketeers are set to gallop back into theaters for a new action adventure.

Sherlock Holmes producer Lionel Wigram has signed screenwriter Peter Straughan to update the 17th century epic. Cast details have not been announced, but the most recent big-screen Musketeers saw Charlie Sheen, Oliver Platt and Kiefer Sutherland suit up as Aramis, Porthos and Athos.

Resident Evil director Paul W.S. Anderson is also working on a new Three Musketeers movie. His project will be a 3-D version of the Alexandre Dumas novel.
