Major honours for Moratu Vidyalaya

Moratu Vidyalaya beat formidable Zahira College, Colombo by 17 runs on the first innings in their inter-school under 19 cricket match which concluded at Maradana.

In reply to Zahira College's total of 211 runs, Moratu Vidyalaya scored 228 runs and in their second essay Zahira declared at 236 for 4 with M. Shehan scoring 56 runs.

When the stumps were drawn Vidyalians were 140 for 7.
