Polls Chief meets staff tomorrow

Elections Commissioner Dayananda Dissanayake is due to meet all election staff tomorrow to finalize arrangements pertaining to nominations for the General Elections, Additional Commissioner of Elections W.P. Sumanasiri said.

No reactionary force can retract people’s support to Govt

The Government, with the strength of the Presidential Election victory, will get a two thirds majority in Parliament at the forthcoming General Election to be held in April. No reactionary force can retract the public support arrayed behind this massive victory at the Parliamentary Election, Local Government and Provincial Councils Minister Janaka Bandara Thennakoon said.
