Food poisoning:

School girl's body parts sent to forensic experts

The body parts of the schoolgirl who died after consuming contaminated food at Buddhagosha Vidyalaya, Matale and food samples have been sent to Government Forensic experts, Central Province Health Services Director Dr. Shanthi Samarasinghe said. Dr. Saramasinghe said that a detailed investigation over this death had already been launched through the Health Ministry and added that attention had also been paid towards formulating a program to check all the foods supplied to primary sections of the schools.

Nearly 130 children from three schools in Matale were affected by poisoning.
