Probe begins into tablets down the drain

Health Authorities are investigating the recovery of a stock of medicinal tablets found inside a pipe running to the sewerage tank at the Panadura Base Hospital.

A labourer had found the tablets when cleaning the blocked pipe and complained to DMO, Dr. Savithri Kirivandula. Dr. Kirivandula who rushed to the spot with medical officers conducted investigations. The matter has been brought to the notice of Western Province Provincial Health Minister Jagath Angage.
