International training program

The Centre for Banking Studies (CBS) is conducting a ten day international training program on “Banking supervision and regulations” for the Bangladesh Bank officials at the Centre for Banking Studies (CBS), during February 08-19. It is the third consecutive program organized by CBS for the Bangladesh Bank at their request.

The program has focused on the importance of financial system stability, theoretical foundation for financial intermediation, core principles for effective bank supervision, assets quality: credit risk management and related directions, principle of asset and liability management, risk focused examination process and techniques, operational risk - IT risk and internal controls, business continuity planning and disaster recovery planning, treasury operations and liquidity risk management, treasury operations and liquidity risk management, corporate governance issues, anti-money laundering and combating financing of terrorism etc.

The next international seminar for Bangladesh Bank is scheduled to be held on March 15-26, at the Centre for Banking Studies.
