Rushan and Kavinda bowl Trinity to victory

Off spinners Rushan Jaled (5 for 41) and Kavinda Jayasuriya (5 for 25) bowled Trinity College, Kandy to their fifth outright win for the season when they beat St. Anne’s College, Kurunegala by an innings and 99 runs in their schools under 19 cricket tournament match concluded at Kurunegala yesterday.

Trinity College: 301 for 6 decl. in 53 overs (Niroshan Dickwella 94, Rajitha Jayatunga 56, Mohamed Sajjid 34, Suresh Wickrema 34, Rushan Jaleel 18, Akila Fernando 2 for 31, R. Wijesinghe 3 for 78).

St. Anne’s College : 107 all out in 35.5 overs (M. Udagedera 15, K. Kariyapperuma 30, Chinthaka Gorukula 3 for 33, Rushan Jaleel 5 for 41) and 95 all out in 39.5 overs (Y. Francis 23, C. Silva 26, Kavinda Jayasuriya 5 for 25, Heshan Wanniarachchi 2 for 6).
