LSSP to contest under UPFA

The Lanka Sama Samaja Party (LSSP) will contest the general elections with the United Peoples' Freedom Alliance said its leader Science and Technology Minister Prof Tissa Vitarana. Commenting on the forthcoming General Elections, the APRC Chairman said that his party had decided to contest in alliance with the UPFA.

The Minister said the LSSP formed in 1935 was the oldest party. He further added that his party would dedicatedly work for the victory of the UPFA at the General Elections.

Prof. Vitarana said the LSSP provided massive support to President Mahinda Rajapaksa at the Presidential Elections held last month.
