Veteran athletes win eleven medals

Sri Lanka Masters Athletes competed in an Indian Masters Meet in Madras recently.


The medal winners with P.H.D. Waidyatilleke President Sri Lanka Masters Athletes Association.

Lankans managed to win a gold six silver and four bronze medals for a total of eleven medals.

The only gold medal fro Sri Lanka was won by J.E. Weerasuriya in 5000m Race Walk event.

Meanwhile S. Subasinghe won two silver medals 200m and 400m events. Others to win two medals were Udula Peiris one silver and a bronze and D.K.J.P. Namasiri also won a silver and a bronze in the 400m and 200m events .
