Tea Board sets 300m kg target this year

Sri Lanka Tea Board (SLTB) expects a target production of 300 million kilograms this year. It is optimistic about the performance of the industry. The industry expects a total revenue of US$ 1.2 billion by the end of this year, Sri Lanka Tea Board Chairman, Lalith Hettiarachchi told Daily News Business.

Aitken Spence Q3 Profits up by 14 percent

Aitken Spence PLC released its third quarter financial results to the Colombo Stock Exchange showing a 10 percent rise in pre-tax profits to Rs 914 mn and a 14.3 percent rise in profit attributable to shareholders to Rs 541 mn over the same quarter last year.
