Army deserters surrender en-masse

Around 1,422 Army deserters had surrendered at the Army camps on Independence Day making use of the opportunity afforded by the Government. Military Spokesman Brigadier Udaya Nanayakkara said 1,422 Army deserters had surrendered to the Army camps responding to the announcement made by the Government.
