Peaceful environment sees large crowd at Deyata Kirula

The large crowds visiting the Deyata Kirula exhibition proved that there is a peaceful environment giving mental solace to people throughout the country, said Central Province Chief Minister Sarath Ekanayake when he opened the exhibition on its second day yesterday.

He said the President's decision to conduct the exhibition this year in a rural environment away from the Colombo city has borne successful results as proved by the team of thousands who visited the exhibition on its inaugural day. "Today terrorism had been totally wiped out from the country.

This was a dream come true for the people which was made possible by the President," the Chief Minister said. Apart from fun and enjoyment the exhibition provided a wealth of knowledge to people especially schoolchildren.
