Former CJ's judgements must be reviewed - Minister

President Mahinda Rajapaksa has to appoint a commission to review all judgements delivered by former Chief Justice Sarath N. Silva, Nation Building Minister Jagath Pushpakumara told Parliament yesterday. The Minister stated that he would make this request personally to the President soon.

He said that a Bench comprising seven Supreme Court Justices should be made to review the judgements delivered by him. Minister Pushpakumara said he too was misjudged by the former Chief Justice Sarath N. Silva with regard to a case connected with the Hingurana sugar factory.
