Iran help for quake hit Haiti
The Islamic Republic of Iran dispatched a plane load of 30 tons of
humanitarian aid, including food stuff, tents and medicines with Iran's
Red Crescent Society spearheading the move, for the people of Haiti hit
by the January 12 earthquake. A 30-member team of Iran's doctors and
relief workers was also dispatched.
The team is planning to set up a mobile clinic and distribute
medicine among the disaster-hit people of Haiti. Meanwhile, a second
medical team from the Islamic Republic of Iran is also due to depart to
Haiti shortly.
