Airport Customs detected 10 kilograms of cocaine smuggled into the country when they opened two travel bags abandoned at the BIA by a foreign national who arrived on an emirates flight on Tuesday night after apprehending the suspect two days later from a Colombo Hotel after ambush. The suspect who masqueraded as a potential investor in a tea export business was handed over to the Police Narcotics Bureau. The detection was led by Customs Superintendents D.D.S.C.
