Dinuk's ten wicket haul help Marians win

Veteran spinner Dinuk Hettiarachchi with a match bag of ten wickets bowled Chilaw Marians SC to a morale boosting seven wicket victory outright over Tamil Union in their SLC Premier League Tier 'A' cricket tournament match which concluded at the P. Saravanamuttu Oval yesterday.

Chilaw Marians SC: 299 and 104 for 3 (L. Weragala 30, N. Perera 22 n.o, M. Pushpakumara 2 for 30).

Tamil Union: 124 and 275 (K. Gunawardena 84, S. Fernando 34, S. Serasinghe 34, J. Mendis 52, G. de Silva 37 n.o, D. Hettiarachchi 4 for 83, M. Siriwardena 3 for 31).

Weerakoon 5-84

A tantalizing spell of bowling from Sajeewa Weerakoon (5 for 84) helped Colts CC beat Saracens SC outright by an innings and nine runs in their SLC Premier League Tier 'A' cricket tournament match which concluded at Havelock Park yesterday.

Saracens SC: 166 and 231 (G. Alwis 115, M. Wijetilleke 26, S. Dushantha 20, M. Randhika 21, S. Weerakoon 5 for 84, K. Elwitigala 2 for 40, D. Perera 2 for 55).

Colts CC: 406 for 5 decl.

Army crush Ragama CC

Sri Lanka Army SC cruised to an exciting six wicket outright victory over Ragama CC in their SLC Premier League Tier 'A' cricket tournament match which concluded at Panagoda yesterday.

Ragama CC: 229 and 83.

Army SC: 152 and 161 for 4 (T. Masmulla 22, S. Gunaratne 27, M. de Zoysa 23, C. Withanage 49 n.o, C. Prasad 24 n.o, I. Daniel 2 for 25).

First innings win

Bloomfield had to be content with a first innings victory over their arch rivals SSC in their SLC Premier League Tier 'A' cricket tournament match which concluded at Maitland Place yesterday.

SSC: 246 and 280 (N. Zoysa 42, H. Fernando 82, K. Lokuarachchi 65, J. Sriyapala 20, S. Senanayake 24 n.o, S. Randiv 5 for 99, T. Fernando 2 for 32).

Bloomfield: 376 and 133 for 4 (S. Jayantha 39, K. Gangodawila 29 n.o, T. Lakshitha 25, N. Zoysa 2 for 61).
