Murder of fisherman: Three arrested

China Bay Police yesterday arrested three Naval officers who were allegedly involved in the murder of a fisherman in Trincomalee on November 27. The arrest came after an investigation conducted by a special Police team.

According to Police Spokesman, SSP I. M Karunaratne, the victim had a heated argument with some of the sailors just a day before he went missing. He said the Criminal Investigations Department will take over the investigation into this murder.
