More movies at Majestic
‘Inglourious Basterds’ is the latest movie which is screening at the
Majestic cinema. It revolves around a group of Jewish-American soldiers
take revenge on the leaders of the Third Reich during World War II.
The screenplay for the movie was largely developed between work on
‘Jackie Brown’ and ‘Kill Bill’.
According to both Tarantino and Michael Madsen, the screenplay for
this film is huge - Tarantino called it three feature length scripts,
Madsen said it would run about six hours. Because of that length, there
has been talk of this movie being split up into multiple pieces, just
like ‘Kill Bill’ was.
Much like ‘Kill Bill’, ‘Inglorious Bastards’ is somewhat of a
derivative movie, being heavily influenced by ‘The Dirty Dozen’ and
‘Where Eagles Dare’.
Despite some rumors, this film is not a remake of the 1977 Bo Svenson
movie also titled ‘Inglorious Bastards’. Brad Pitt, Diane Kruger, Eli
Roth, BJ Novak and others make up the cast.
‘Up’, an American computer-animated comedy-adventure film produced by
Pixar Animation Studios and distributed by Walt Disney Pictures, will be
taking over the Majestic for the festive season.
