Zelaya: USA backs Honduran putschists

Brazil: Constitutional President of Honduras Jose Manuel Zelaya said on Thursday that the United States is supporting the de facto regime of the putschists and reiterated that he will not recognize the results of the elections on Sunday, November 29.

In an interview for Brazilian UOL Noticias website, Zelaya said that “the United States is not only supporting the elections, but also the de facto regime, the dictatorship, the putschists’ regime.” A coup on June 28 not only took Zelaya away of the presidency but also of the country.
