Drug manual launched

The National essential medical list and hospital formulary and the manual on management of drugs produced by the Healthcare and Nutrition Ministry were launched during a ceremony held in Colombo.

The two publications are launched after 15 years. The publications have been formulated using International documents. It is an adoption of International essential medical list and hospital formulary and manual on management of drugs. The concept was introduced to the world by Prof. Senaka Bibile.

The documents clearly states which drugs should be in the hospitals all the time, the quality of such drugs and related information.
