Eight Sri Lankan shuttlers for Malaysia

Eight players (four boys and four girls) will be participating in the World Junior Badminton (under 19) Championship to be held in Alor Setar, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on November 1.

Sri Lanka team Boys: Nuwan Hettiarachchi, Dilshan Kariyawasam, Omesh Fernando, Harsha Perera.

Girls: Achini Ratnasiri, Upuli Samanthika Weerasingha, Oshadhi Kuruppu, Sushmitha Ilangakoon.

Manager: Anil de Silva, Lady Chaperone, L.D.A.S. Goonawardena, Coach: Chinthaka Fernando.

Nuwan Hettiarachchi, Dilshan Kariyawasam, Omesh Fernando, Oshadi Kuruppu and Sushmitha Illangakoon are given three weeks special training in Malaysia prior to the tournament - Achini Ratnasiri and Upuli Weerasinghe participated in special training camp in Indonesia and joined the team in Malaysia recently.
