Rahula qualify to play in All Island Chess Tourney

Rahula College, Matara won the third place of under ten and twelve in the Southern Province Chess Tournament. This tournament was conducted at Sangamitta Balika Vidyalaya, Galle. Due to this they qualified to play in the All Island tournament (under A division) to be held at Royal College. Captain of under ten Dimuth Oshada Mirrissage and Vice Captain Vidura Indula Mallawaarachi and under twelve team Janitha De Silva and Navod Chathuranga won all five rounds and obtained prizes.

Principal of Rahula College Kithsiri Liyanage, Primary Principal Gamini Abeykoon, Master in charge of Chess team Bathiya Jayaweera, Coach Sarath Wanigabandu were responsible for the success of the Rahula Vidyalaya Chess team.
