TVS motorcycles to State employees

Sri Lanka State Trading (General) Corporation project:

The Sri Lanka State Trading (General) Corporation (STC) is introducing a project to sell TVS motorcycles to State employees on easy payment terms. This project is launched for the improvement of the living conditions of the State employees, as per the Mahinda Chinthana policy statement of President Mahinda Rajapaksa.

TVS Lanka Limited, the importers and distributors of TVS motorcycles, have joined the Sri Lanka State Trading (General) Corporation to implement this project. For every motorcycle brought under this project, the State employee will be entitled to a discount of Rs. 10,000/=.

State employees would be able to purchase any motorcycle of their choice from the TVS range and pay in 36 or 60 instalments with a very attractive 9.5 percent interest rate offered by the Bank of Ceylon. The Sri Lanka Insurance Corporation Limited has designed a fully comprehensive insurance cover with the lowest premiums for State employees who wish to avail themselves of this project.

The launching ceremony of this project was held with the participation of Trade, Marketing Development, Cooperatives and Consumers Services Minister, Bandula Gunawardene, Port and Aviation Minister Chamal Rajapaksa and STC Chairman, Pradeep Gunawardene at a Mahapola Trade and Education Fair at Beliatta Wijayabha College.

Sri Lanka Insurance Corporation Chairman, Pradeep Kariyawasam, Bank of Ceylon Senior Deputy General Manager W.A. Nalini and Sampath Agalawatta from TVS Lanka (Pvt) Co, were also present.
