‘Best outside the USA’:
Dimo Chairman’s Report hailed
Ranjith Pandithage’s message in the latest Annual Report of Diesel
and Motor Engineering PLC was adjudged the best-of-the best among all
Chairman’s letters, internationally, outside the USA.

The occasion was the International ARC Awards 2009 held in New York
City. Some 2000 companies from around the world including the Fortune
500s, FTSE 100s and the top companies from Continental Europe competed.
Representatives from the winning companies gathered for the awards
presentation held at the New York Inter-continental. Dimo Annual Report
won two Golds in this highly competitive and most sought after global
awards scheme for annual reports.
As the awards night drew to a climax, with the best of the Golds
being nominated for grand awards, Dimo took centre stage.
Its Gold for the Chairman’s Letter appeared in the list of five
nominees for the best-of-the best outside the USA, and eventually made
it to the Grand Award.
Dimo’s second Gold for Interior Design was also nominated for a Grand
Award. Other recipients of the 26 grand awards included WPP of the
United Kingdom, Novartis of Switzerland, Centerra Gold of Canada, Harley
Davidson of USA, Audi of Germany, China Telecom, and Thomson Reuters.
Ranjith Pandithage with Dr. Vijith Kannangara of Smart Media - The
Annual Report Company, received the Grand Award from Charles Payne of
Fox Business Network who was the Chief Guest. Suresh Gooneratne and
Chandena Kodituwakku, Dimo’s Finance Director and General Manager
Finance, respectively, also participated in the event. |
