Another weapon haul unearthed

Security Forces have recovered a large consignment of TNT and C4 explosives along with arms and weapons in Puthukudiyiruppu in a search operation lunched on Sunday.

Military spokesman Brigadier Udaya Nanayakkara said Task Force VIII which conducted a search operation together with the police had recovered arms and explosives in the Puthukudiyiruppu area.

They recovered 300kg of TNT explosives, 25kg of C4 explosives, three pressure mines, 10m detonator cords, a T56 riffle and two T56 magazines.
