NCC-Colts pick of the matches

The table leaders NCC will face a tough challenge when they take on Colts Cricket Club in a key SLC Premier League inter club cricket tournament Tier A match at Havelock Park starting today.

NCC have already taken an early lead in the race for the title and will be keen to consolidate their position having notched up two outright victories from three outings.

In contrast Colts CC have only a solitary win to their credit but are capable of making an impact during the next few matches while possessing a formidable line up.

In fact Colts CC will take the field with confidence after having piled up over three hundred runs in their limited overs match against Saracens SC a couple of days ago at the same venue.

But NCC had a major setback where they went down to Moors SC on their home grounds despite a splendid century from Kumar Sangakkara. They will be determined to bounce back and underline their class in the longer version of the game with another pleasing performance.

Meanwhile Bloomfield will have a great chance of collecting full points when they confront Sri Lanka Army SC in another SLC Premier League cricket tournament Tier A match at Reid Avenue today.

Bloomfield are in tremendous form after having defeated their arch rivals SSC in their one day match on Wednesday. The key player will be all rounder Shanuka Dissanayake who is enjoying a magnificent season so far with both bat and ball.

Ragama CC who are placed third in the points table will be looking for another good performance when they take on Tamil Union in another SLC Premier League cricket tournament Tier A match at the NCC grounds in Maitland Place today.
