Even exchanges at Pannipitiya

Dharmapala Vidyalaya were 110 for 6 in reply to Prince of Wales College total of 142 runs in their inter-school under-19 cricket match played at Pannipitiya. Cambrians in their first outing for this season could not fair well and only resistance came off the bat of Shehan Jayasuriya who made 43 runs.

Dharmapalaians lost their wickets at regular intervals and at one stage they were reeling at 25 for 5. A stubborn sixth wicket partnership of 80 runs between Rasitha Gamage unbeaten on 53 runs and Hasitha Wickramasinghe 31 played them recover.

Cambrians: 142 in 45.2 overs - (Shehan Jayasuriya 43, Nuwantha Peiris 23, Rasitha Gamage 3/25, Hasitha Wickramasinghe 3/35, Dilrukshan Jayasundara 3/27.)

Dharmapala - 110/6 in 44 overs - (Rasintha Gamage 53 n/o, Hasitha Wickramasighe 31, Shehan Jayasuriya 3/32).
