Sale of F & G building restrained

The Colombo Chief Magistrate and Additional District Judge Nishanth Hapuarachchi yesterday issued an order restraining the public auction of the Finance and Gurantee Property Developers building at the Marcus Fernando Mawatha, Colombo 7.

Issuing the restraining order the Judge observed that the Seylan Bank could submit their reports to court on any date.

The Judge issued the restraining order on an application by Director Mohan Perera who had been released on bail recently.

Deputy Solicitor General Yasantha Kodagoda submitted to court that according to an order by the Supreme Court that F and G properties could not be sold to any third party.
