Kandy CC by six wickets

Kandy Cricket Club scored a six wicket win over Matara Sports Club in their Sri Lanka Cricket's Division One inter club limited over cricket tournament match played at University grounds, Peradeniya yesterday.

On a wicket favouring bowlers, Matara Sports Club were bowled out for 93. When Kandy CC batted heavy rain fell and under the Duckworth and Lewis system they were set a revised target of 71 in 30 overs but they scored the required in 14.3 overs.

Matara SC 93 all out in 47.3 overs (A. K. Ratmal 12, K. N. Palliyaguru 13, Pushpika Dharmapala 23 n.o., Charith Nirmal 2 for 19, Janaka de Silva 2 for 21, Malith Abeysinghe 3 for 15).

Kandy CC 71 for 4 in 14.2 overs (Muditha Wijekoon 29, Janaka de Silva 17 n.o., Charith Nirmal 10 n.o., Suresh Sunimal 2 for 29).
