Ceylinco Sri Ram case:

Judge directs suspects to forward affidavits to AG

Colombo Fort Magistrate and Additional District Judge Gihan Pilapitiya on Tuesday directed the 10 suspects in the Ceylinco Sri Ram Company alleged misappropriation case to forward their affidavits to the Attorney General to settle depositors. After lengthy submissions by Senior Defence Counsel and Deputy Solicitor General Wasantha Navaratna Bandara, the Judge said that the Court would consider the application for bail in respect of the suspects now in remand custody on the next date and remanded the suspects till October 26.

Attorneys Ranjan Mendis, Naveen Marapana, Asela Rekawa, Sudhashini Gunaratne, Haritha Adikari also appeared for the defence. Attorney Wasantha Wijewardena, Seetha Wijewardena appeared for the depositors.
