Undergrad hospitalised

A first year student of the Peradeniya University who had been subjected to inhuman ragging by senior students was admitted to Peradeniya Teaching Hospital yesterday.

The student who is from Deduruoya area and was subjected to continuous ragging for a number of days was subjected to violence by the senior students university sources said.

Peradeniya police had taken 13 second year students into custody and were produced before Courts and remanded till October 27 by the Kandy Magistrate police said.

Further investigations are being conducted by the Police.
