WHO to distribute Swine Flu vaccines
Switzerland: World Health Organization (WHO) announced Monday that it
will distribute vaccines against swine flu A (H1N1) in 100 countries
with low and mid incomes.
The vaccines should be effective with the application of only one.
Chief of WHO vaccine research Marie-Paule Kieny said that the
vaccines will be delivered as donation to cover basically the needs of
the health personnel and keep them from propagating the virus. “A
hundred of developed countries will receive vaccines against swine flu
in the next four months to cover two per cent of the population involved
in public health services”, explained the official.
In the second stage, WHO expects to cover 10 per cent of the
citizenship of those nations.
Kieny underlined that a dose of the swine flu H1N1 vaccine should
offer enough protection against the strain of the pandemic disease.
