Left arm spinner and skipper Amith Thilakaratne in a devastating
spell captured a match bag of 12 for 97 (7 for 62 and 5 for 35) bowled
Sri Rahula College, Katugastota to nine wicket win over Ananda
Sastralaya, Kotte with 7 overs to spare at Kotte yesterday.
Playing a major role in Sri Rahula’s win was Nimesha Wanasundera who
top scored with 82 (11 fours) in the first innings and followed with 45
not out (8 fours) in the second to aggregate 127 in the match being once
out. He also put on 81 in an unbroken stand with Ruwan Ratnayake 31 not
out.
