Carlton BC, Colombo BC victorious

Carlton Basketball Club beat Sri Lanka Police Basketball Club 63 points to 57 in a Carlton Cup Open Basketball tournament 'A' division match played at Police Park courts after leading 34 points to 29 at half time.

Chamath Serasinghe (15), Chamath Danawansa (13) and Nilanga Wickramaratne (11) made valuable contributions for the winners, while Sujith Master was the highest scorer for the losers with 18 points.

In a another game Colombo Basketball Club defeated Wennappuwa Knights Basketball Club 77 points to 70 at the same venue. Wennappuwa BC led 34 points to 29 at half time.

The inaugural Carlton Cup open basketball tournament organized by Carlton Sports Club and 'Tharunyata Hetak' organisation is sponsored by Sri Lanka Telecom and Solex Engineering.
