Middle order batsman Demintha Dahanayake hit a captains knock of 136 not out with 19 boundaries and shared an unfinished seventh wicket stand of 125 runs with all rounder Roshan Laksiri (42) as NCC recovered well to reach a formidable 324 for 7 in their first innings on the opening day of their SLC under 23 division one cricket tournament final against the traditional rivals SSC which began at Maitland Place yesterday.
