President decries false propaganda

Certain leaders who want to internationalise Sri Lanka’s domestic problems without trying to solve them locally are trying to spread false propaganda against the Government which eradicated terrorism that dogged the country for three decades, President Mahinda Rajapaksa said.

Rs. 320 million worth of foreign monetary assets have been received as a result of investments made in treasury bills by Sri Lankan expatriates. In response to the letter issued on January 1 by President Mahinda Rajapaksa, 202 Sri Lankans living abroad and expatriate workers have invested in treasury bills and treasury assets
