Air Force gets National Productivity Award

The National Productivity Secretariat yesterday declared the Sri Lanka Air Force (SLAF) as the winner of National Productivity Award for 2008 after a thorough evaluation process.

The Secretariat which comes under the Labour Ministry conducts a competition among Government institutions for the National Productivity Award annually.

According to Air Force Spokesman Wing Commander Janaka Nanayakkara,the SLAF has earned the plaudits of the Secretariat for maximum utilization of limited resources available at the SLAF for the victory of the humanitarian operation.

The Productivity Secretariat has applauded the officers of all rank and file in the SLAF who have contributed to make the humanitarian operation a success under the able leadership of Air Force Commander Air Chief Marshal Roshan Gunatillke.
