Navy and Old Bens win

Sri Lanka Navy Basketball Club beat Moratuwa Basketball Club by 63 points to 39 in a Carlton Cup Open Basketball tournament 'B' Division match played at police park courts.

S.L. Navy BC was in the lead 28 points to 19 at half time. D.H.Y. Rajapaksa made valuable contribution for the winners scoring 17 points while H.P.C. Kumara got 13 points.

Stefan Fernando scored 11 points for Moratuwa BC and Kasun Madusanka bagged 9 points.

Meanwhile Old Bens SC defeated Field Force Youth BC by 81 points to 57 in another 'B' Division game played at the same venue.

Old Bens SC was in the lead 41 points to 26 at half time. Klinton Saloon top scored for Old Bens with 25 points, Udayanga Perera got 23 points, while Chameera Bandara collected 21 points and Chatura Hewalunuwilage 10 for Field Force Youth BC.

The inaugural Carlton Cup Open Basketball tournament organized by Carlton Sports Club and 'Tharunyata Hetak' Organization is being sponsored by Sri Lanka Telecom and Solex Engineering Company.
