Rally round people’s President

All the people accept President Mahinda Rajapaksa as a leader who truly loves the country and its people and spurns communalism.

That is why all communities in the south rally round him to ensure a convincing victory for the united People’s Freedom Alliance at the up coming Southern Provincial Council Election, said U.P.F.A. candidate for the Matara district, D.W. Prathapasinghe at Malimbada recently. Fulfilling the needs of the people is one of the main goals of the Government.

All must praise President Mahinda Rajapaksa for the correct leadership and help him to carry on reliable service which brings peace and happiness for all.

It should be noted that reactionary forces are trying to discredit the Government locally and internationally by obstructing the country’s forward March and the economic development. All the patriotic citizens should understand the situation and safeguard the hard won freedom by ensuring U.P.F.A. victory at the upcoming Southern Provincial Council Election.

The Government policy will erase the names of the undeveloped areas from the map by bringing the backward villages to the level of the urban areas providing water, electricity, roads, education, health and other requirements of the people.

The problem of unemployment in the Southern region could be addressed with the construction of the Hambantota harbour and the airport at Weerawila, he said.
