ASPI gains 0.08 percent

The ASPI gained 0.08 percent to end at 2913 whilst the MPI gained 0.05 percent, to end at 3,282. Turnover for yesterday was Rs 775 million with John Keells accounting for Rs 221 million of the day's business.

The share closed up 25 cents to end at Rs 155.25. Stafford Hotels gained Rs 2.25 to end up at Rs 29.25 on a turnover of Rs 86 million.

Seylan Bank non voting gained 50 cents to close at Rs 12.25 on a turnover of Rs 49 million, whilst Brown and Co turnover was Rs 24 million up Rs 2.00 to end at Rs 63.00.

Hemas Power IPO closed on September 17. Total valid applications were 8,552. The number of shares subscribed 115,223,400 and the total value of shares was Rs 2.3 billion. Source: First Guardian Equities
